What was the Globe Theater?

The globe theater was an Elizabethan theater. in this mass cathedral, William Shakespeare directed his plays as well as taking part in performances. The plays, the playwrights, the politics and the propaganda all play an important part in the history of the Elizabethan Theater. The original Globe was an Elizabethan theater which opened in Autumn 1599 in Southward borough of London. The Globe was one of several major theaters that were located in the area, the others being the Swan, the Rose and The Hope.
In 1576 an actor named James Burbage built the theater in Shoreditch it was the first built playhouse in London.Shakespeare joined the resident troupe in the 1580's and it was later know as the chamberlain.
